A green index has been prepared by national geograpic that details countries' attitudes towards green issues. Not surprisingly, the USA came last, and India and Brazil came first.

I think a lack of new energy saving appliances, 2 computers and imported food didn't help.

The 4 computers didn't help, but it assumes all computers use the same amount of power, which isn't true these days.
